Bless your next retreat by spending a week in prayer preparing your heart. Or pray over a loved one who is headed off to a church retreat. Use these seven prayer prompts to keep you focused an accountable as you pray.
How to Stay in Prayer
Journal it: Open your journal and write one of the prayer prompts at the top of the next seven pages in your journal. When you arrive at this page, take a moment to write out a short prayer based on the prompt.
Post it: Use the printable version of these prayer prompts and put it inside your Bible, next to your kitchen sink, or another place that you commonly have a quiet moment.
Schedule it: Put reminders in your phone with the prayer prompts scheduled through out the week. Pick a consistent time or allow the Holy Spirit to prompt you to schedule random times.
In Fellowship: Post these prayer prompts in your small group chat every day the week before retreat. Or choose one of them to pray over in your last face-to-face meeting before retreat.
Prayer Prompts for Church Retreats
Ask God:
For good health in the week leading up to retreat, and the time at retreat.
For the words of the leaders and speakers to be from the Holy Spirit.
For vulnerability among the people attending the retreat and with in the small group.
To bless the retreat to be full of good fellowship and to leave the attendees refreshed and filled.
For strength and rest for the leaders and organizers.
To be at work in the attendance, and to move in both the attenders and those that are absent.
To be present for all the support people (parents, spouses, children, care takers, pet sitters, etc.) who are home keeping everything running while attenders are at the retreat.
